The online publication Beau Travel Magazine have recently featured the fantastic Woodland Village, at Family Adventure Holidays' Château de la Baudonnière in Normandy. The new eco-friendly homes enjoy a magical natural setting, tucked away among trees close to a river and lake within the 100-acre grounds of the Château.

With a choice of authentic Mongolian yurts or timber tree houses constructed on stilts the experience provides next-to-nature accommodation in a peaceful and rustic, yet spacious and comfortable environment.

The woodland homes have solar power and lighting and the tree houses also have the luxury of an eco-toilet and shower powered by hydro-electricity generated by a nearby waterfall. Each unit sleeps two adults and two or three children and a homely woodland cabin next to the lodge provides accommodation for another family of four. Communal showers and toilet facilities are provided in an old lodge in the centre of the village, where families also meet for breakfast.
