Family activity Easter break

Laughter, memories and Easter eggs

Family Adventure Holidays is hosting their 2nd Family Easter break at our beautiful 3* Hotel Moulin aux Draps, set in the middle of tranquil French countryside, just 45 minutes from Calais.

Our family fun begins on Good Friday with welcome drinks served at 5pm by our Family Adventure team. A family dinner is served in the evening followed by lots of fun and laughter playing Molky, Petanque and other games. There is also a bar and lounge area for those who just want to relax and watch the sun go down.

It’s an early start on Easter Saturday to catch the tide for sand yachting, so after a hearty breakfast we climb aboard the coach to take us to Boulogne-Sur-Mer for some exhilarating fun on the sand. For those with young families, Nausicaä – The French National Sea Experience Centre awaits, home to a living reef, sea-lion pool and tropical shark lagoon. Families are transported back to the hotel where a buffet lunch is served followed by giant catapult making and firing. You will be surprised how competitive you can be when tasked with building a giant catapult with a few poles and a colander. Tonight, the children are fed earlier and whisked off to the Escape room for lots of problem solving, followed by fun and games around the hotel. Parents are left alone to relax and enjoy a 4 course meal cooked by our gourmet French Chef Eric.

Easter day arrives and so has the Easter bunny. An Easter Egg is presented to each child at breakfast which is followed by Easter games and an Easter egg hunt. Families are given a basket and race around the grounds to find all the Easter eggs hidden amongst the flowers. Watch out for the wild bunnies and ducks which pleasantly hop and waddle around. A traditional French Easter lunch is served, with families all sitting down together, helping themselves to roast lamb and vegetables. A spa treatment is next on the agenda for one member of the family whilst the others either take part in the Grand Prix make and race or Easter arts and crafts. Don’t miss out of the grand finale race and presentation to the winning team.

Another busy day ends with a buffet style family dinner and a disco. Many adults slope off to the bar or if the weather is good sit on the sun terrace enjoying the last of the spring sunshine, whilst the children learn new dance moves with our wonderful Lilie.

Unfortunately all good things have to end and after a last breakfast together, Easter Monday sees our Family Adventure Holiday team waving you bon voyage and very much hope to see you next year.
