Our Ardèche Family Adventure Holiday is set against the backdrop of the spectacular Ardèche gorge ('the Grand Canyon of Europe'), where we provide the ultimate in white-water canoeing and outdoor pursuit’s adventure for the family. Our partner Ardeche Adventures have over 20 years experience working in the Ardeche and really make this holiday a once in a lifetime experience (although we do have families coming back too!).
The main highlight of any Ardèche adventure is the exciting descent down the spectacular Ardèche gorge. For this 2 day trip, we provide the instructors to accompany you, all the equipment required for you and your family together with all the food for the overnight bivouac and barbecue. Our instructor team will make the river descent as exciting as possible yet fun and safe, taking in the various rapids and the famous Pont Arc. By the end of this dramatic trip, your canoe skills and confidence will have improved no end!
Our 7 day adventure holiday, staying at our 3* 'Camping Hello Soleil' in mobile homes (with swimming pool!) includes the 2-days on the river and overnight bivi camp, climbing, abseiling, weaseling and high ropes. We encourage your family to share new experiences and learn together. No experience is necessary for any of our activities and you can make your holiday as relaxing or as active as you like.
NEW to our Ardeche programme is the 'Softies' programme, where the excitement of the holiday is balanced with a bit of luxury. Although offering all the excitement of our original Ardeche White Water holiday based now in Camping Hello Soleil in mobile homes, the 'Softies' programme is based at the 3* hotel - Hotel L'Europe. For those of you wanting to fly, we will collect your from Marseille airport and taxi you around to all the activities. Your stay in the Hotel is breakfast and dinner and our Adventure team will provide picnic lunches on the activity days.
Also NEW to our Ardeche programme is our activity only package enabling you to take advantage of our adventure experience but allowing you to make your own accommodation arrangements. Includes the 2-days on the river and overnight bivi camp, climbing, abseiling, weaseling and high ropes.
We're now also offering the 2-day descent of the Ardeche Gorge with overnight bivi. Includes picnic lunches, evening bbq, overnight bivi and breakfast. Tents and camping mats supplied.
There is much more to this region other than the gorge and the river, there is an abundance of town markets and rich history to be found all over the Ardèche.
In the summer of 2016, Ollie, aged 13, took a Family Adventure Holiday with his family to the Ardèche gorge in southern France. It turns out he's a budding film maker...thanks Ollie for your film!

The outdoor pursuits programme includes Climbing and abseiling in the the Chassezac Gorge and local crags on a site that has been especially developed by our team. There is also the high ropes course in Villefort which is beautiful as well as high octane fun and which has the latest in failsafe safety systems. There is also Weaselling (you might want to google that!), which is great fun for the whole family and which takes place near our climb site. On the last day we relax with a chilled day at the show cave at Avenorgnac which is the perfect way to wind down after your great adventure week. In fact we wind down every single day on a different beach and everyone absolutely loves that and it’s a great way to relax and for the kids to play after a great days adventure.
As a confirmed wimp, neurotic mother and altogether non-outdoorsy type, I was dreading this little adventure. However, due to the excellent tuition, unparalleled safety, good company and wonderful scenery, believe it or not, I'm queuing up to do it all again! A wonderful experience!Maria aged 46
